Out Did

Taking the broth Katie sipped it slowly. It tasted good like all of Cindy's cooking. Taking just a few more spoon fulls Katie finally set it aside on the end table. She just couldn't eat anymore right now even though it had been very little. At least that would satisfie everyone hopefully.

Hearing the knock on the door and seeing Jade Katie smiled and gave a little wave. It was always nice to see her, and it was nice she came to see how she and Jason were doing. Eyeing all the goodies she brought her smiled widened a little.

"You out did yourself Jade, but thank you."

Just listing to them both talk Katie didn't mind and rather enjoyed hearing them both. It was just cute to her. Hearing Jade's question Katie's smile fade just a little but she tried to regain the smiled again. She hated people worrying about them.

"We are just taking it one day at a time. There is no way of knowing what each day has to offer. So we are making the best of it while we can."

Listing to her Uncle Misty was going to say more but held her mouth shut. Just listing she was happy in the end Reese actually put Chance in her care. It meant a lot to her and honestly, she was a little surprised he had. But it made her feel good.

"If anything happens I will take responsibility for it. Thank you. As soon as I think his mental state is good enough to be questioned he is all yours."

Turning and leaving the room Misty just glared at Kirk a little before leaving the room and heading back to the infirmary. Seeing Justin she waved and walked over to him sitting down in her chair and let out a long sigh before looking at him.

"No one was happy with what I had to say but I know it's right I just know it. I was put in charge of Chance's care and if anything happens it falls on me."

Sitting back and taking a sip from her water bottle she thought for a long moment before looking to Justin again.

"Can you keep working with him? I don't want him to leave him unstable. I've got his fiscal health if you can take care of him mentally."
