Adrenalin

Destiny felt bad for Jett. She thought he should really think more of himself, but she just kept the comment to herself. She didn't know him all that well yet and didn't want to start putting her nose where it wasn't meant to be.

Getting back up on the tailgate to watch the cars as they lined up Destiny took the binoculars and looking through them. Destiny never thought she would like something like this before but she had to admit the adrenalin was exciting.

   "Come on Zan...you got this."

Even though Destiny had no idea about races it seemed like the thing to say as she had a big smile on her face.  Slowly her smile faded a little though as she watched Zan spin out and flip his car. Her adrenalin was not fun now as it was fear that corsed through her veins. 

Looking at Jett as he jumped down Destiny did as he said and went to the other side of the truck jumping into the passenger side. As they moved to Zan's car Destiny jumped out when Jett did and wasted no time in helping get Zan out of the car her heart still pounded in her chest. At least he was alive and breathing. 

   "Hey...you might not have won but you did better than I could even dream of doing. And the night proved to be exciting for sure. I'm just happy at the moment you are ok."

Danged if we do danged if we don't.

Looking at all the faces that stared back at them Katie couldn't help but cringe on the inside. She wouldn't say she wished people didn't care, but it really sucked they had to put their families through this.

Squeezing Jason's hand a little bit Katie let out a small sigh and leaned her head back on the pillow. She was so tired, and she was tired of feeling tired. She hates not having the energy to do anything. She couldn't help the tear that slipped out of her closed eye. This really could be there last hope, so they might as well try but she was still scared.

We have too.

Opening her eyes and looking at Jason Katie searched his face for a long moment. Giving a small smile she had to keep her head on straight for them both.

  "It's worth a shot. I as long as you are ok with it too."
