Single Tear

"Nothing wrong with being a little weird. If we were all the same...I think it might be a little boring."

As Jett went to get food Destiny leaned into Zan a little and gave a nod. She could tell that Jett was a pretty loyal person. She liked seeing that in friends though and she thought that was something important in any kind of relationship.

"He's a good guy, I can tell. I feel pretty bad everyone picks on him so bad."

Sitting up straight up when Jett came back. Destiny smiled and her eyes got a little bigger as he put the plate in front of her. She was not usually a big eater and this was a lot of food. She didn't even know if she would be able to eat half of it.

"I think I underestimated what this was going to look like."

At Jett just watched her Destiny looked at him, then Zan and then back own at the fries. Taking the fork that was there too she got a fry, along with some of the other goodies there were on the plate and just looked at it for a long moment. Finally popping it into her mouth and chewing she was quiet for a long moment till finally swallowing it.

"Oh my goodness...why have I not known about this sooner...this...is the best thing I have ever tasted in my life."

Rosetta couldn't help but chuckle at Jeff's comment. She didn't mean to laugh at her brother while they walked but it tickled her just a little.

"I don't think I could even see Jason and Katie slowing down. At least not now. They have a lot of life left in them, and they do what they love. Even if there loved ones think otherwise. Kinda reminds me of people we know."

Keeping her hand in her brother she kept walking till getting to the dining hall. Stopping and turning to Jeff Rosetta smiled. She did know this was hard for everyone.

"Katie is going to be ok. She is a Pent after all. She'd not ready to leave this world yet. We are the ones that have to be strong for them right now. Give them somewhere to lean when they need it...ok?"

Katie laid in a world of darkness. She could still feel Jason, she could hear Jason but she just couldn't wake herself up. Was she dying, was she hurt? All she new is it felt like she was in a room, with just a single light that was dim. This couldn't be the end there was so much more life to live, with Jason, with her family.

Though Katie could not wake herself, a single tear ran down her cheek maybe a sign she was there, she could hear Jason and it made her feel not so alone.
