"Well, I guess it's good I am a...step up."
Dalton's eyes twinkled with humor. Dani always made him smile no matter what, or no matter how his size bothered him sometimes. She mad him feel special, and he could never ask for anything more.
Wondering over to where the items for the picnic were Dalton pick up the basket and a few other things before turning and looking at Dani and smiling.
"You are going to have to carry that small bag, or I am going to drop something."
Destiny gave a knowing nod as she thought for a long moment. She didn't think she and Zan had plans tonight so it would be as good a time as ever. The thought of helping out really did make her nervous, but if it helped Jett then it was important to her.
"I don't think I have anything going on tonight so that should be ok."
Thinking for a long second Destiny looked to Eli with a little concern.
"Do you think Jett will be ok? He's going to take this pretty hard."
Katie looked at Jason and gave a smile as he talked. Taking a bite of her broccoli she just listened. Honestly, she didn't mind at all, it was easier for Jason to explain than her. He just seemed to know the right words to say when she just stumbled.
I don't mind at all. It's kind of nice having someone who wants to know more and isn't running away screaming.
"So a lot of the time if we are quiet, but it looked like we are deep in thought we are talking to each other. Sometimes we forget other people can't hear us too and will talk half in our mind, and half out loud."
Setting her fork down Katie was starting to get full. Her nerves still had the best of her when it came to eating but she at least was trying. Her still was still through the roof too when it came to thinking about not seeing her family again, or work but she was doing pretty good keeping control of her emotions for the most part.
"It's always been helpful in our line of work, I guess that's why I've made a good bodyguard for J too. So we have just learned to take the good, with the bad."
