Honest

Eli thought for a long moment, pursing his lips. Destiny was right - Jett was probably going to take this hard. And would it even work?

"We don't know," he admitted. "It's just the best shot at convincing him to pull out before it's too late. If... he doesn't... then he'll  be arrested. We have proof he was in on the science lab robbery - the Elite doesn't need any more than that."

Garret sat back in his chair his brow furrowed. He couldn't really understand Destiny's fear of losing a friend, but it was obvious she was concerned. "If you'd rather not be involved, I can handle him myself. I'll just have to change my strategy is all. It'll just be him and me, and he'll never even have to know about this conversation."

Eli had hoped maybe Destiny could be a deciding factor, but maybe she was right. Maybe she shouldn't be involved if she feared risking a friendship. "It's up to you," he assured. "We won't make you do anything. But we are going to act today regardless. Personal feelings aside, he has to be stopped, and we do want what he knows about the recruitment methods. If you'd rather not be there... I'd like to at least share your story with him at some point - or you share it with him - to confirm what we tell him about the Agency is true."

Jason chuckled at the names Katie came up with, and shook his head.

Caleb? Really?

Sighing, he shifted down a little too, getting more comfortable. He knew good and well he was going to fall asleep but... he really didn't want to be without Katie right now. At least when she was tucked under his arm, he knew right where she was. And maybe... he wouldn't have to face any nightmares tonight.

Okay... I'm still watching TV too... Honest...

Aaron's eyebrows arched not only at Sam's presence, but at the food... and her wanting to stick around. She was... acting like nothing had ever happened. It threw him enough that for a few moments he just stared at her.

Eventually though, he couldn't help but start in on the tacos. Even though being back here, he had food at his finger tips, he hadn't been eating very much and this... he couldn't pass up.

Taking a bite, he nodded a little and waited until after he'd chewed to speak. "Thanks..." He moved the lego directions so she could see them better while he ate. "Whoever tried to put this away took off a chunk we already did," he commented. "So I'm not sure where we're at."

It wasn't until after he'd finished the first taco that he said anything more. "You know... most people wouldn't wanna have anything to do with me now..." He unwrapped the second taco. "I'm back to thinking you're not right in the head."
