As the race started Ryan kept herself focused and listened to Eli as he talked. Though this was a serious matter she couldn't help the smile on her face at the same time. It really did feel good to be behind the wheel.
Taking her position on her side of Hunter Ryan's hands gripped the steering wheel she could feel them sweating and could feel the adrenalin. This was it...she could feel her car sliding in the sand. It had been a long time since she had raced but it was just like they had practiced.
"He's slowing guys....keep up the good work."
Destiny had taken her spot next to Scarlet and watched intently. She muttered under her breath as she watched. Keep it tight guys, expect him to change speeds, know his moves before he does. You got this. It was exciting to watch and yet she was scared to death at the same time. Maybe it was that danger that made it so exciting. As long as Zan came out alive...she was happy.
Scarlet looked down at Dylan and laughed. Excusing herself for a moment she popped the trunk on her car and grabbed some A&W root beers. She offered one to Destiny, and one to Dylan too. Looking back out at the race she put her fingers in her mouth and whistled loudly. Some people turned to look her way but quickly looked away when they saw it was her. She laughed before clinking her bottle with Dylan.
"To new friends and good clean fun."
Looking at Pete and then Aaron Sam felt bad. She knew they were going to both get in trouble and she felt worse for Pete then herself. Letting out a long sigh she shook her head, she had no idea what was going through Aaron's mind anymore.
"I don't know, what he is waiting for. Maybe he wanted us to stop him so he had a reason to be mad at us. But we didn't...So he cant be upset and has no reason to hate us."
As Aaron rounded the corner and disappeared Sam turned to the building again. As Pete held the door she slipped inside as they went right to Reese's office. Looking at her boss she could feel her hands sweating already. Standing tall though she had made her desition and there was no turning back.
"Aaron is gone! He wanted to go outside for a little bit and Pete and I went with him. He said he wasn't going back in of his own free will and I let him go."
Sam searched Reese's eyes for a long moment. She was mentally preparing herself to get yelled at, and then would come Kirk and she was ready for that too. Looking to Pete she sighed and then looked to Reese again.
"If you are going to be angry with anyone be angry with me and not Pete. He was just following my orders. He shouldn't have to suffer too because of the choice I made. If Aaron goes back to the Agency he's dead, if he goes to prison he is prob dead there too. If we made him back here I believe he would close himself completely off and we wouldn't get any information from him. So I just...let him go, hope he has enough sense to start living his life...whatever that might be and maybe he'll come back on his own."
