Test

"Mm, nothing official." Kirk was glad to see a bit more color on Ron's face. He really hadn't looked too good earlier, and Kirk could only imagine just how hard his head had been struck. It really did make him wonder even more about Garret, but he was learning to respect Reese and Nate's leadership.

"Just gonna use Nate's space." Actually, Nate was to be a present witness, so if Ron spilled the beans to the Agency, he could immediately be arrested. But Kirk had full confidence that was not going to be the case.

"Come on. I'll take you there." Heading down the hall and to the open area once again, he met Nate in his cubicle. "Ron says he should call in a few minutes," he informed. He looked to Ron again. "Best way to get them to believe you is to tell the truth. You didn't find the man they're looking for... Garret really isn't the same as who they though. You hit a dead end... another truth." He knew Ron knew his job, but without a good knowledge of the Agency, too many things could be taken for granted.

Having Maggie come in and sit down next to him, at first, Garret didn't respond. But then his eyes shifted to see the picture. He might never admit to anyone that he enjoyed seeing her pictures. They were like windows to the way she viewed the world. Her view was innocent. Colorful. Full of imagination.

Maggie's question finally made him pause and he set another paper aside into a separate pile. "Just helping your brother," he answered simply.

Realizing that would probably not satisfy her curiosity, he shook his head. "Kinda like taking a test at school. I gotta remember an awful lot to figure out answers to a puzzle."

"Maggie?" Laura unintentionally interrupted as she came back into the living room. "Hot dogs and macaroni and cheese, or grilled cheese sandwiches for supper?"
