Plans

Con sighed and looked at all the eyes looking back at him. "That's the hard part. JT and Bree have looked in all Gunner's typical spots, including the church he hid out in last time."

"What if we teamed up with the police on this one?" Wyatt suggested. "We can file a missing persons report then the network will get the word out."

"That might not be a bad idea," Hal agreed. "Did he take anything with him like he was leaving town?"

Con shook his head. "JT said it didn't look like he'd taken a thing, but he also left his cell phone behind, so it would appear he just wanted to walk away from everything. Which...could lead him out of town. In which case, the chance of Bree finding him is pretty slim."

"Dalton and I can look for his car," Scott suggested. The two of them could tap into systems no one else could. It might not be quite legal, but they might be able to find a traffic camera that had picked up Gunner's license plate. He glanced up at his big friend. "I don't have any plans tonight..."

Reese nodded his approval. "That's about all we can do - other than pray - for now. By morning he'll have been gone twenty-four hours and JT can file a report. Once that's done, we can get in touch with other law enforcement in the surrounding area."

"Has anyone been checking with hospitals?" Pete questioned.

"JT has." Con nodded. "He's been in touch with all the surrounding hospitals already but nothing showed up... thankfully."

"Okay." Reese knew this was a very serious situation but there was only so much they could do right now, and having fresh heads in the morning would help. "Scott and Dalton, if you want to work late, go ahead. Otherwise, we'll reconvene in the morning."

Laura made her way back downstairs and glanced at the clock before easing down on the couch and picking up her book again. She didn't like it when Nate was out late. Even if it was just a meeting, it was always somehow unnerving.

She'd go to bed, but she wanted to know what had happened, and she also needed to tell Nate about what she'd found on their computer earlier in the day. With Garret around, she hadn't had a chance, and she didn't want to forget.

Kirk grinned and slipped an arm around Adison's waist. "Too bad we made plans," he mused, his eyes twinkling with mischief. He leaned down to kiss her lips again but broke away abruptly and aimed for the door. "Okay okay. Come on. Ron's gonna think we abandoned him."

Driving his car, it wasn't a long drive to the club, and once he was inside with Adison, he scanned the room of people. "Maybe he's in back." He took Adison's hand and took the lead to snake through the people to get to the far end where it was a little quieter and less crowded around the pool tables. "Hey, there he is." He smiled as they found Ron. "Sorry for the wait. It's been...quite an evening."
