Turtle

Hal blinked again and looked quickly to Sam, ready to backpedal even more, when her catch interrupted the moment... for which he was thankful. Watching her with the fish, he couldn't help his smile, just letting her figure it out on her own. For her first time fishing she was really doing quite well.

He sat back down with her again to await another bite, and studied the rock he sat on as she accepted his invitation. A grin slowly spread though, and he finally looked at her out from under his cap brim, squinting in the sun. "Okay... I... might be able to manage a movie too..." His grin widened in spite of the strange little lurch in his stomach. It was okay, right? She knew he didn't mean anything by the invitation, right?

A scraping sound caught his attention and he looked back to see his pole sliding across the rock. He grabbed it quickly and set the hook before standing up. "Boy, they're hungry today. This is pretty unusual." He reeled in a small bass this time, and showed Sam the differences between the fish before releasing it since it wasn't large enough to keep. He wiped his hands on his jeans and put on another worm before casting again.

Easing back down to sit, he leaned back against the other rock and kept his eyes on his bobber this time. "I caught a turtle with a piece of cheese once," he mused randomly. "Surprised me as much as it did him, I think."

Eli chuckled at his sister. "Well I'm glad you're concerned with being fair." He stood and tossed his napkin into a nearby trash can before stretching and yawning.

Hunter looked to Ryan and smiled. "You'll see me tomorrow," he assured. "If that's what you want." His eyes roamed her face before he looked up at Eli and nodded to the cars.

Eli rolled his eyes. "Oh for crying out..." He turned his back to aim for the cars. "Make it quick."

Hunter just grinned and turned back to Ryan, his eyes twinkling. He reached up to cradle her face. "Sleep well tonight huh?" Leaning in closer he gave her a light, tender kiss, then returned for a deeper one, letting it last a few extra moments.
