Feeling Jason's emotions churning and heading his words Katie continued to try and hold her smile for Cindy's sake. She knew Jason didn't want to make his mother worry. She did feel bad for Cindy as well knowing how hard this was for her too.
Easy does it. I'm good at the moment, I'll take all I can.
Taking Jason's hand in her own Katie did what she could to take all the emotions she could while trying to send a few soothing ones Jason's way to keep him calm. She didn't know if she was doing any good but she sure did hope so.
"While we are here though we want to try and take in everything, and just live. It's been quite some time since we have had a vacation together. Not to mention having our vacation spot be with family is the icing in the cake."
The drive to the beach was nice and Hope enjoyed having the windows down, music up and just enjoying Domino and Scott's company. It didn't take to long to get there or find a parking spot as it was a work day and everyone but them was busy.
Leaning back a little and looking out at the water Hope also kept a close eye on Domino not being able to laugh at her antics with the seaweed. Taking in a deep breath and letting it out Hope was content and the day was so nice for this.
As Scott put his head in her lap Hope looked down at him squinting in the sun a little and smiled. It was so good to see a little color on his face and the little bit of light in his eyes.
"It's been a really really long time I think. I missed it, but like being able to savor it now. We have got to do this more often."
Helping clean up Sam was sad the night had gone so fast but at the same time, she was happy they had, had a good night. Maybe the ice was broken now and they wouldn't feel so odd around each other anymore.
"Thank you for having me, and thanks for the putting up with my bubble antics."
Just looking at Hal for a long moment just standing there leaning against the door Sam's smile grew a little more. He looked pretty handsome standing there. Leaning in Sam kissed his cheek before stepping away. She really had a nice night and that was her way of saying thanks.
"Have a good night Hal, and thanks again."
