Only If He Wants

Wendy gave a nod to Mick. If anyone could figure out what was wrong it had to be Mick. He just had a way about him that everyone loved. Even the rougher edges. Hopefully, he would be able to get to the bottom of everything.

Standing at the stove and stirring the pot of stew she had been preparing all day Rosetta let out a sigh. She felt bad and wished they could do something. Wendy was obviously overwhelmed and stressed and Clint...something was wrong but he wasn't willing to talk to anyone. It hurt to just sit back and watch the little family get damaged a little more every day.

"We can only help if he wants it and it seems at this point he doesn't. I've seen the decline myself though and it worries me. They are too young to be having problems like this and it hurts to just sit back and watch."

"You are never a bother you know that Clint."

Pating the examination table Angel grabbed a few things to look at Clint's wounds and clean them out. Seeing it was infected she set to work making it clean hoping that it wouldn't get any worse as long as it could keep it wrapped.

"You need to keep this wrapped till the stitches come out...ok?"

Going back to the cabinet and pulling out a small bottle Angel dumped a few pills into her hand before putting them in a baggie and hanging them to Clint. Just studying him for a long moment her heart still broke for him.

"These are for the infection. Take them before you go to bed and they should help you sleep too. Depression is a wicked thing and can do a told on your normal habits. Come back to me in a few days so I can make sure the infection is not getting worse...ok?"

Getting the dishes and everything else out they would need for dinner Sam set the table nicely. It wasn't a very big table but she didn't mind that. At least it wouldn't feel like she was half way across the room from Hal.

Everything smelled so good Sam could feel her stomach growl at they sat down. Saying grace and getting what she wanted it looked just as good as it smelled.

"Well, it looks amazing, so that's a good start."

About to take about Sam stops hearing Hal's comment about the bones. Really it was a good warning so she could be careful, but she grinned a little. She couldn't help her comment that slipped out.

"I forgive the bones as long as you save me when I choke."

Realizing what she said Sam's eyes went wide a little bit as she stuck the fish in her mouth and chewed. It tasted as good as it looked and Sam nodded her pleasure. It almost was if, it melted in her mouth. This was one of the best things she had, had in a long time.

"Wow, this is really really good."
