Talent

Garret looked hard into Sapphire's eyes, and knew in his gut that she was telling the truth. She really didn't know anything about this.

He opened up the little notebook and leaned in close to show it to her, still keeping his voice low. "It's all about the sniper's targets. Those who have already been killed are crossed off, and there are several that haven't been yet but there's information about them, like dates when it'll be easiest to pick them off."

He searched Sapphire's face. "The sniper must have known we were getting close, and put this here to incriminate you and divert attention." He knew the implication of his words, and it made his stomach turn. His voice grew even quieter. "That means there really is a leak here... or the sniper himself is here... and either way, they wanted the focus shifted to you instead of them."

Hal's eyes dropped for a moment about the mention of being honest. His thoughts immediately went to the recent camera footage he'd erased, and how he'd skirted around the issue of Jason and Katie. He'd never lied but... he'd come close. It was for Jason and Katie's own safety though... right?

He glanced back up at Sam, giving her a half smile. "Well, I can't guarantee I won't want to jump at the first little sign of trouble, but I'll do my best to stay out of it as long as you're safe."

He thought for a few moments and seemed to drop the conversation before he spoke again. "Sam? Do you... I mean..." His brow furrowed. "Well, aside from being Aaron's handler, surely you're not gonna be happy sitting in a security room all day every day. Isn't Kirk going to put you on some cases and get you out doing what you're good at? I mean... It's kind of a waste of talent having you staring at camera feeds all day."

Feeling Ryan's willingness, Hunter slowly brought her down onto the couch and pushed her onto her back. He sent kisses down her neck, then back up again, returning to her lips. Sprawled half on, half beside her, he let his affection show as much as he felt she deserved - she was amazing, and he knew it.

Pulling back once, he grinned as he looked down into her eyes. "What are the chances of your brother walking in on us like this?" he asked teasingly.
