Secrets

Realizing Sam wasn't going to take no for an answer, Hal just looked at her for a moment. Apparently he was going to have to bank on that seventy-five percent that nothing of question would come up. "Well, okay," he relented.

Closing what they didn't need, he started hunting for the main floor footage. He was relieved when it was easily located. "I'm gonna go back about... I dunno... Let's say a week." It took a little more time to go back and find the right date and start it playing.

It wasn't the most clear picture. Sapphire's cubicle was right on the edge of the camera's view. But it was clear enough they could see who was who, coming and going. It took quite a while to find anything out of the ordinary, up until just a couple days prior. At one point in the morning, the camera suddenly shifted, and Sapphire's cubicle could no longer be seen. "What..." Hal hadn't even realized that the view had shifted at all. He had never even noticed that it was a slightly different scene.

"Someone was here during the day? And actually turned the camera so no one could see Sapphire's desk?" Hal was even more worried now and he glanced at Sam. There was only one logical route now. "We need to look at all the other feeds and figure out who was here that day."

Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes turned into hours. Nothing significant was showing up at all. There were no strangers, only agents. Hal was growing weary as they looked through feed after feed of that same day. All of a sudden though, they had pulled up the infirmary. Before Hal could react, it showed Jason and Rick, then the picture jolted and suddenly it was five minutes later and Jason and Misty were sweeping up a mess on the floor.

Hal tried to just ignore the short blip and kept watching. It wasn't long before Kirk and Adison showed up, them Hal himself, physically blocking the view. "So, we know where they all were at that point," he concluded, and moved to pick another feed to check.

"Yeah, okay." Garret nodded to Nate. "I'll try not to." It wasn't easy though.

He aimed across the floor and to Sapphire's cubicle again, where she was by now. He didn't say anything, as he picked up his jacket and keys, figuring she'd realize he was leaving for the day.

"Nope." Eli popped the top on a Pepsi can and took a long swig. "Yeah, that's good," he sighed. He looked over his shoulder to the living room. "Scarlet left this afternoon so... I can hang out with you guys or go bar hopping."

Hunter bounced his legs to throw Ryan off balance, and caught her as she came back down on his chest. His eyes sparkled to accompany his smile. "He's just trying to make us feel guilty," he comment loud enough for Eli to hear.

Eli snickered and wandered closer to peek over the back of the couch, looking down at them. "You two certainly look comfortable."

"We were til you showed up."

"I bet." Eli grinned. "I'll leave you be if you want. Honest. I can go grab pizza with Tal or something so you two can stay... comfortable."
