I wish

Watching Clint Wendy could see he was hurt she didn't want to move. She loved it here, though, this was home to here and where she always imagined there kids growing up. Moving into town sounded busy, and loud. Was she really being selfish? Maybe but she couldn't just say yes to Clint when its not truly what she wanted to do.

Sitting in her garden a little longer Wendy finally stood and walked slowly inside. She'd promised Clint some lunch and she was feeling a little hungry herself. Getting to the kitchen and seeing Clint sitting there she let out a long sigh and her heart ached for him.

Slowing walking over to him she placed a hand on his shoulder before squatting down to be eye level with him. She wanted to help, she wanted him to be better.

"I wish there was a way I could help you more. I hate seeing you like this. Have you thought of talking to someone? Not about your workload, but about what is bothering you or how you are feeling?"

Wendy took Clint's hand in her own hoping he wouldn't become upset again. She just wanted her husband back.

"Standing on the outside and looking in the road you are on is not healthy. I miss my husband that smiled and laughed. I just want you to be ok again."

Hearing Rick was going to go with them Katie was a little surprised but it made her feel good that he cared. Not to mention a little better knowing he would be there if anything else happened. Angel was wonderful and a great doctor but Rick was the one who always dealt with this stuff in detail and new the ins and out better than anything. From what Garret said better than even the Agency.

"Remind me to thank Janet for pawning you off onto us."

Katie smiled hoping Rick would at least smile at her joke. Sliding off of the bed she stretched. Her head throbbed still a little bit but it was much better than before and she could at least think straight.

"I should be ok to drive too. If you want maybe dinner tonight at my place"

Looking up at Rick Misty gave a nod. She new too this was more than likely the best thing for Katie and Jason. It would be less of a worry to them as well with the Agency here. At least everyone at the ranch pretty much new about them already so they wouldn't have to try and hide.

"I got things covered here. You take care of them."
