"Yeah well... I'll always worry about you." Jeff gave Katie's shoulder a squeeze. "Come on... I was just on my way to the dining room. Supper's gonna be soon and we might as well hang out there 'til it's ready."
Jason nodded his agreement. "I'm gonna go find out where Rick settled first, then I'll find you guys there."
I'm not hungry but I know I need to eat something. I'll see you in a bit.
He brushed Katie's hand with his as he aimed for the bunkhouses.
Jeff walked with Katie to the main house, keeping his arm around her shoulders. Once inside, they saw a few others, and he picked his usual table near the window. "So, things have been a little tense around here with Jim," he admitted quietly after they were seated. Rosalyn leaving was huge - I guess she and Jim at least got on speaking terms before Chad took her to the coast. But now he lost his eyesight completely and I can't decide if he's just mad about that or something else." He smirked. "I was getting yelled at right before you surprised me. Guess I just try to help too much."
Pausing a moment, he reached across the table and took Katie's hand, eyeing the ring she wore. He squinted one eye at her as a grin played on his lips with silent question.
Scott laughed and reached over to move Domino's face. "Get your stinky breath out of Hope's face," he chided.
She wriggled over on top of him next, gleefully licking his face now.
"Awww!" Scott held her back and finally sat up. "I think you're just hungry."
Domino bounced around and ran in circles in the sand, excited at Scott's tone of voice.
"Uh-huh." Scott sighed and glanced over at Hope. "The beast is hungry. Think we ought to feed it?"
Aaron looked up dimly at Sam. He'd been feeling better then worse, better then worse. Today it was worse. He was miserable. A walk sounded nice though. He could have gotten out of his room any time he wanted, but he simply hadn't had the motivation.
He rose to his feet then stopped, pausing at her mention of cooking foot, and one of his eyebrows arched. "You suck at cooking anything." His lips twitched, proving his dry humor as he went for his crutches and hobbled with her into the hall. He tried his best to start putting more weight on his leg, but it wasn't easy. "Whatever we do with the eggs, they better not be as thick as the atmosphere around here." Even being in his room, he'd felt the air the last couple days. "What's been going on anyway?"
Hunter pushed open the garage door, letting light stream in and shine on Ryan's car. He had picked her up this morning on his bike and brought her, but only after making sure she still wanted to.
"Well... she's still here." He threw her a smile. "Eli gave you the keys right?" He wandered over to the car and gave it another once-over. It was even more beautiful on second look. Eli was the best painter he'd ever seen. "Oh look..." He pointed into the driver's side window. "It's got a steering wheel..."
Still smiling, he reached out to take Ryan's hand and bring her closer. "So who's gonna steer her today?"
