Letting Go

Smiling Sam couldn't help but laugh a little too. She'd tried cooking many times and Adison always came running when she was home wondering what on earth was going over time. After a while she'd smell the smile and call for pizza.

"We should try and experiment together sometime. Could be fun to make everyone wonder why there is smoke billowing out of your place."

Taking another bite of her food Sam let out another sigh leaning against the rock again.

"Thank you for showing me how to fish today. It's really been a blast."

Looking at her brother and smiling his words meant a lot to her. What he thought meant a great deal to her and it always would.

"Thanks Eli. That means a lot."

Getting out of the car Ryan headed for the house but stopped as she saw a shadowy figure by the fence line. It had been a long time, and maybe it was the stress of the day getting to her. Walking to the fence she stood there for a long moment as Alec just looked back at her. His lips didn't move but she could hear his voice.

   "Are you happy?"

   "I am."

"He's good to you? You both seem happy together like he would be willing to protect you from anything."

"He is and I think he would. He has so far anyways."

"Then let go. It's his job to keep you safe now."

Ryan could feel a tear roll down her cheek. It was time...time to move on and time to be happy. Justin said it would be hard, and oh it was, but she knew it was time. She couldn't do to Hunter what she had done to Tal. She needed to let go.

"I have to move on. You are free now."

Sucking in a deep breath Ryan just watched as the shadow nodded and turned from her. Walking away and slowly fading. Turning Ryan gave a small smile through her tears to Eli, she could see the look on his face and it was one of worry. She was ok though.

"I...was just saying goodbye, and letting go."

Misty jumped as Jason shoot up and bed. Coming over with Rick to his side she did her best to try and keep him calm as well. Her eyes searched Jason's face for a long moment before looking to Rick with worry. Jason was frantic and his plus was racing. If calling Katie to confirm she was ok helped calm him then that was what needed to be done.

"Jason? I was just about to call you and ask the same thing."

Katie was at her kitchen table now with a cup of tea trying to keep her own self-calm before she called Jason. Her phone had startled her but seeing it was him calling she'd answered anyways.

"I had a horrible nightmare, I failed you, and you were shot. It was horrible. Are you ok?"
