Cookie jar

Seeing Maggie was actually getting the hang of it, Garret was just a bit surprised. He didn't have a clue how to teach anyone anything unless it had to do with close combat or weapons. A silly banana had actually worked? It kind of felt...good.

In the living room, Laura snuggled into Nate. She'd seen what Garret was doing with Maggie and, quite frankly, was amazed. He constantly surprised her, with his natural ability to work with her, in spite of his past.

"So...long day?" Laura had noticed how stressed Nate looked when he'd gotten home a while ago. "Any leads with Jason?"

Kirk grinned as Adison came over, and nodded. "Of course I'm always working. Keeps my mind where it should be."

Scooting his chair back a little, he reached up beind him to grab Adison and pull her sideways into his lap. Smiling, he gave her lips a soft kiss. "My day wasn't nearly as exciting as this," he teased. He leaned in to kiss her neck playfully. "Mmm...you smell good."

Pulling back a little, he searched her eyes. How many times had he wanted to tell her that, but hadn't dared? He chuckled sheepishly. "How come I feel like a little kid who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar?"

"Okay...yeah, thanks. Talk to you later." JT hung up the phone and wandered back over to the window where Bree still was. "That was Con."

He paused and also glanced out at the quiet street again. "He called Reese, and found out that... Gunner lost his job today." He let out a long sigh. "Something to do with the FBI getting involved with the Elite and restructuring. He was the only one let go though." Now they knew... Gunner had run... Again. But who knew where, this time?
