Milkshake

Wendy gave a nod as she patted Wes' arm. She felt bad for him with the look he had in his eye. Earlier this afternoon her mom had talked to her, and while Wendy knew something was going on with Clint she had hoped it would work its way out, or he would talk to Wes. Neither had happened and her mother's concern only confirmed she needed to do something before Clint wasted away.

Making his way across the yard and stopping at the door to the shop Wes took in a deep breath before entering. He couldn't feel worse if he tried. He wished he had known Clint was having a hard time. Maybe he had missed something along the way but he felt bad he had caused this.

"Why didn't you tell me you needed more help? I honestly thought you were doing ok, and I'm sorry I didn't notice something was wrong sooner."

Wes walked into the shop more and eased down on one of the benches. Looking at Clint his heart really did break. He cared a great deal about him and just wished he'd said something sooner.

Thirteen widely searches Garret's face for answers. What he said..was it really true? Was he not there to take her away and had he changed? It was so hard to see beyond what she new. But was he right...Carson changed...had this man really changed too?

"I....I believe you. its just going...to take some time to get use too."

It would take time. When she saw Garret she saw a man she once new, this new man in front of her she didn't know anything about. Maybe in the end he had been just like her...trapped.

"Can...I get you something to drink? I'm....learning how to make milkshakes!"
