Comfy

As tired as he'd been, Hunter hadn't been able to sleep. Now sprawled on his stomach in bed, propped up with a pillow, he was just browsing the internet on his phone. Suddenly hearing the door open, he looked over at it quickly. Seeing Ryan, he was rather surprised. He knew she'd been nervous, but maybe he hadn't expected her to seak him out two nights in a row.

"Yeah, sure." He wouldn't ask what had frightened her, or make her feel any more embarrassed than she already looked.

Rolling over onto his back, he scooted to the side and motioned her over. He wouldn't make her sit in a chair. That would be silly. Maybe he wasn't being smart, but nothing had happened the last time, and he knew anything but simple comfort couldn't be further from her mind.

He slid down on his pillow and let her join him, pulling the blanket back for her. "Smaller bed than the hotel," he mused just a little teasingly. "Make yourself comfy," he invited. "You don't have to worry about anything here."
