Walk

"I'll have to remember to threaten him with your wrath. No one wants to see that."

Nate laughed and squeezed Laura a little tighter. She was an amazing woman with an angry side no one really wanted to see.  He loved her to death for it though and would never want her to change.

Thinking for a second about Garret and being at the house Nate didn't have a worry of what he might do, it was more of a worry of would he himself be ok. He knew he was still getting used to things and he didn't want to overwhelm him.

"I am pretty sure he'll be alright. Might be a little lonely for him being here alone but Rick and Janet are next door if he needs anything too."

"Our story make us who we are. One way or another we all have one, I think its how we choose to tell it or live it that matters really."

Maybe she felt close to Hal because he kind of understood her a little more, maybe its because their families were similar. Even if this was the first time talking about it maybe it was just something they could feel. Whatever it was made them friends, and fast. Not that Sam minded. She needed more friends.

Looking down at her bowl Sam still had ice cream but she was getting full. Sometimes even a small was just too much sweet for her. She felt bad since Hal had paid but she hoped he wouldn't be offended.  Glancing up again she smiled, really she was enjoying herself too and didn't want it to end.

"Well...it is a really nice night out. Would be a shame to waste it, maybe a walk is in order?"

Feeling Hunter's hand gently running through her hair and on her face Ryan's couldn't help the smile that spread on her face as she nestled her head down into Hunter even more. It felt so nice just being here with him, cuddled, warm, safe.

   "Nah, Lumpy is comfortable."

Sitting just a few more second's Ryan did know that Hunter was right. If they didn't get up they would fall back asleep and then someone would come to look for them. It was smarter to just head back on there own.

   "Alright...Alright..."

Ryan put her hand on top of  Hunter's for a moment as it was still on her face. Gently rubbing his fingers she finally sat up and looked at him. She smiled before giving a yawn.

"Let's get back before Buttons gets the wrong idea to run again. Maybe after dinner, we can go for a walk or something. I have a feeling if I don't my back is going to be stiff and you'll have to carry me more."
