Best You Can

Gunner's smile was small but there was a smile there none the less and that made Bree happy. Even if she could bring just a small smile to his lips it meant she had made his day just a little bit brighter, and a little bit was better than nothing.

"Chocolate it is than..and I'm happy you picked that one because I really wanted the peanut butter one."

Sitting down next to Gunner Bree placed a kiss on his cheek handing him the shake. She hated he had to stay here, and hated she couldn't come more often than every other day. She missed him so much. She knew this was the best place but still it was hard.

"Everything is going ok. Lonely at home without you but I'm taking it one day at a time. Makes me appreciate the times I get to see you."

Bree took a sip of her shake thinking for a long moment before looking at Gunner again. She wondered how he was really. She knew what the nurses told her, but that was them. Not actually him.

"How about you? Are you doing the best you can be?"

Giving a soft moan as Misty opened her eyes and the sun shined brightly into them her arms tightened around Carson's arms a little. She wished it was the weekend and she didn't have to go to work. It was so warm and comfortable laying here with Carson. Leaning back a little into him Misty turned her head and gave Carson a little kiss on the cheek.

"We can pretend but I don't think it will work. Unfortunately, if I am not at least there for a half of a day Uncle or not Reese will have my head since Rick is not around right now."

Rolling over to her other side so she could look at Carson  Misty smiled as her head sank into the pillow a little. Had the best always been this comfortable? It felt a million times more comfortable than it had before.

"Want me to make us some breakfast?"

Taking a bite of her sandwich Ryan couldn't help the mumble of approval. It was just a sandwich but hers never seemed to taste this good. Maybe it was just because it was someone else's cooking but it was amazing and she loved it.

"Today was pretty good. Clint is really nice, and his family sounds nice too. I showed him a few tricks and she showed me some."

Sipping her water and putting it down Ryan looked across the table at Hunter giving a small smile before looking away. She really was happy she had come with him, it was a thought that had passed through her mind before but it was the truth.

"What did you do all day?"

Turning at the sound of Travis' voice Stacy listened to what he had to say she searched his face. Ashlee and Travis had been doing good avoiding each other, and following here rules. Ashlee's anger for the whole situation had lessened a little thought Stacy knew she was still upset. Had this been enough time for both of them to learn.

"Yes, that would be ok. But it must be at the dining hall,"

She had to let them interact together sooner or later again and hopefully they had both learned their lesson and this wouldn't happen again. Travis was a good kid and Stacy new that.

"I believe she is in the tack room at the moment hiding out if you want to go get her. "
