Coffee and Cookies

Hearing the door bell Misty went from the kitchen were she had just taken some cookies out to the door. Seeing the shadowy figure of Carson, and the small figure of Mac she smiled. She hadn't expected Carson to come to the door but she was happy he did.

Opening the door she smiled and stepped aside so they could step in. She'd cleaned the house that morning so it was at least half way decent for when Mac was there. The smell of coffee and cookies wafted through the air.

"Hey Mac, long time no see."

Bending down Misty gave her a big hug and just held on for a few long moments. It really was nice to see her again.

"I think you have doubled in size since the last time I saw you. I bet you take after your dad in that department."

Standing straight again Misty smiled to Carson. She was happy to see him too.

"Hey. Want to come in and join us for coffee and cookies?"

Giving a thoughtful nod Sam like the idea about changing the lock. If Aaron had a mind that liked to work, maybe that would help. She could upgrade to harder and harder locks. It was worth a shot at this point.

"I think I am going to try the lock idea."

Straightening again she gave a nod to Garret and smiled.

"Never would of thought of that without you. Thanks Garret."

As Hunter took her hand and his words reassured her it was ok she gave it a gentile squeeze before putting her own hands in her pockets as he let go. Just sitting quietly her mind wondered to and fro as she took in all the sights of the new place they were heading.

Time ticked away and Ryan lost track while flipping through the radio for the good music. Hearing Hunters suggestion for food Ryan glanced at the time and was surprised to see it was later than she though. She was hungry at the moment so they might as well stop before he appetite was lost by one thing or another.

"Food sounds good to me. I'm starving at the moment."
