Movie or Cards?

Sitting at the table with Sparky and Dylan Faith was quiet and just listened. Hearing Dylan’s reason for why he’d been so down broke her heart. It was so sad to see anyone go through what Dylan had been. He deserved to be happy and he deserved to stop beating himself up. She could add more to the conversation but Sparky had seemed to be doing a great job. Far better than she could. So she just listened.
As the conversation drew to an end though and hearing Dylan thank her Faith smiled and gave a small nod. She enjoyed the young boys company and having him come to eat.
“Thank you Dylan and you are always welcome here. It’s a pleasure to have you always.”

Thinking about Aaron’s question for a long moment Sam sat forward just thinking. She’d had a hard time when Hal has asked her the same question. At least Aaron was talking to her though and she just had to tell him something.
“Well I am sure there are better jobs out there but I really like law enforcement, helping people and having a job that is meaningful.”
Leaning back in the chair again and looking at Aaron Sam gives a little shrug as well.
“Not to mention you’re not so bad to spend time with. Maybe a little stubborn and hard headed, but so I am so I can’t fault you for that and for that, I am sorry about your knee.”

Thirteen let out a small sigh hearing about Ryder’s job at the zoo. She still hated it and it made her worry. She was always scared something would happen to him. He knew she didn’t like it so they usually just didn’t talk about it. So letting the moment pass she gave him another squeeze.
“Want to watch another movie or play cards?”

Looking up at Mick Ashlee gave a nod and smiled before looking to Travis again. She was happy for the suggestion and happy there was a horse that would work. Giving a laugh at Travis comment about the horse she looked down at her food for a long moment before looking up again with humor in her eyes.
“Not a ghost but as white as one. Very pretty horse. I think you’ll love him.”
Picking up her sandwich and taking a bite Ashlee chewed giving Travis foot under the table a tap smiling again. She was excited to go riding even if she hadn’t said it.
“Well hurry up and eat so the food can settle and then we can go.”
