It was us....

Getting to Reese's office Nate knocked and waited before walking in. Hearing he could enter he did so and sat down. Bringing his fingers together and the pointers to his mouth he leaned on his knees and just thought for a long moment. His heart seemed to pound uncontrollably in his chest and he couldn't remember the last time he had ever felt like this. Scared, angry, sad, and disappointed, but what hurt more was that the disappointment and anger he felt wasn't twords Garret it was twords Scott.

   "I know you more than likely have made up your mind about what to do with Garret but I'm just asking you to listen to me, take in what I am saying with an open mind."

Taking in a deep breath Nate tried to figure out where to start with Garret and all he new about him and had come to find out about him. He might as well just start at the start.

   "Over the last weeks of Garret being with us Laura and I have gone through an emotion of roller coasters..."

Nate continued on talking about how Garret was sold to the Agency at a very young age, to Victoria being the only person he ever felt connected to, to finding his siblings on facebook. He continued on with every little detail, and discovery with Garret about how he was taken with Maggie, to spending time with the family. 

   "I have spent almost every night with Garret and I have seen a different side. He's not perfect..he has his issues, but don't we all? That being said this letter is from Scott. I asked Garret what he blackmailed him with and it was the one thing Scott new he couldnt say no to. He threatened to hack into the agency and let them know he was alive. If he had done that, they would have killed Victoria for lying..."

Quiet again for a second he didn't give much time for anything to be said yet.

   "He never would have done it, even if he had his talk with you about it, if Scott hadn't used the one person in this world he cared about more than anything against him. and honestly...if I had been in his position and someone was threatening my family I would have done the same thing to save them. He had his chance to run. He would of easily not come with me here...but here he is. In that cell right now waiting to know what will happen to him. I've seen the change in him Reese, this program is working with him. Just his weakness was played against him like all of ours have been but the sad part is...with him it wasn't the Agency who did it. It was us...we did exactly what the Agency does to us. The people who were going to protect him, the people he wanted to help The Elite."

Watching the cams again with Hal, Sam was happy to see that Aaron was behaving himself. It was one less thing everyone was going to have to worry about. Catching the can as Hal threw it to her Sam takes a sip. 

   "He's been out and about for a while now right? If he had ill will do you really think he would of waited this long? And actually let them bring him back? From what I have read and been told Garret could take everyone blind folded."

Just continuing to watch Sam was quiet again. This was all interesting in itself. Turning to Hal again she gave a smile. 

   "This is kinda like a soap opera if you think about it. I dont know how anyone could get bored of this job."
