Brighter

Just feeling Laura's love Nate soaked it up. What would he do without her in his life. On his darkest days she was his light. Hearing her comment about coming to talk to Reese a smile spread across his face.

"Those are sad eyes when you cry. Lets try and refrain from that, even if I know your doing it for me, it breaks my heart to see you cry."

Returning the hug and starting forward Nate left his arm around Laura. He'd have to go up and get his badge and run but a nice relaxing night at home sounded nice. Thinking about her words he new what she said was true. Garret would be ok and Reese never had let them down before. When had Nate lost faith in that? Was it because maybe...Garret's store hit close to him for him. He'd kept a part of his own life locked away because it hurt to talk about that maybe Garret had ripped that wound open because it was close.

"I know your right. Home sounds good, and tomorrow...things will look brighter."

Sam could almost feel her mouth water as Hal came back into the room with the food. She was a lot more hungry than had thought. Not to mention sometimes, just sometimes a girl needed her grease.

"I'd rather die happy eating what I want, than live a little longer being a bunny rabbit."

Hearing that Hal had an extra cheese burger for Aaron Sam smiled and nodded taking the bag. Aaron had been pretty well behaved and it was slightly surprising.

"Thanks Hal, you are the best. Next time lunch is on me again."

Putting her food back into the bag Sam stood and left the security room making her way to the infirmary. Seeing Misty she gave a nod like always and just headed over to Aaron.

   "Hey...Hungry?"

Alice couldn't help the smile on her face and that it grew even wider with Kyle's excitement. If anyone asked her she was scared and now she was double scared as there would not be one but two babys to look after. But her excitement over ruled that and she new she had a good man in her corner.

"I think I can handle helping. You get to play, and I get to sing lullaby's.Sounds like heaven to me."

Leaning into Kyle and giving him a kiss. Pulling away her eyes twinkled with his with excitement and joy. Kyle was going to make a wonderful father she had no doubts about that. There lives were going to change but for the better, it was going to get a lot more exciting traveling with two babys. Oh what storys they would have some day to tell there own friends.
