Kind of Sad

Ashlee couldn’t help her smile that widened. A guy never flirted with her before, but if someone was to ask her what it was like she would point them in Travis’ direction. Something about the way he flirted though told her it was much different than most guys. She liked it though and it made her feel good.

   “Well, that’s good then.”

Picking up the pickle and taking a bit of it Ashlee was quiet chewing. Taking her plate and glass Ashlee wondered to the kitchen filling the sink with a little soap and places the dishes in it. She wanted to at least start cleaning up there dishes so they were out of the way when dinner time came rolling around.

“Bring your dishes in here so I can wash them. Than we can go riding. I think Casper will like having a rider again.”

As Eli sat down next to her Ryan nudged his shoulder a little. She really was thankful for him. If he wasn’t around Ryan wouldn’t know how she would handle any of this. Being alone would be ten times worse and who knows what would of happened. At least he was patient with her.

“Mmmm…I’m feeling kind of tired. Maybe it would be best to go home. I don’t want to overdo it baby steps.”

Sliding off the hood and going to the passenger side Ryan stopped seeing a lot of movement over where Hunter was. Before she even knew it there was a fight that ensued. Seeing Hunter was in the middle Ryan didn’t know what on earth had happened. Everything seemed find a few second ago. Stepping forward she stopped seeing it looked like he had it under control and she didn’t feel it would be smart to put herself in that situation if she didn’t need too.

Getting into the car and seeing Hunter get into his own car again and didn’t look happy at all. Ryan couldn’t help but worry. She hoped this didn’t have anything to do with her riding with him. He had been so kind, and was trying so hard to keep her comfortable She’d hate this had hurt his reputation here.

Not saying anything Ryan pulled out her phone as Eli started away. The most she could do was make sure he was ok.

Hey, are you ok? Saw what looked like
a fight while we were leaving. I hope
it wasn’t anything to bad.

Sending the text and setting her phone down Ryan looked to Eli thinking for a second. She didn’t know why but for a second she felt bad for Hunter. She’d never saw him with anyone, no one he hung out with at the race other than the normal crowd that was just there to ogle over the winner for the day. Leaning her head back and closing her eyes she was quiet for a second before finally speaking again.

“Eli…I don’t think Hunter has any friends. It’s kind of sad.”
