My Word

Just sitting down on a bale of hay Xander listened to Becky as she talked. He could see she needed too, and just needed a friend. He didn't know her well but if he could be that for her, for Jim he would. He's really like Abby to get to some more of the women here too so she had people to mingle with. Even if they were a little older than she was. He hated thinking about how he had taken away from her own friends. Maybe Becky would be the start of a new friendship for her.

"You have my word I will help give him a swift kick if I have too."

Standing Xander moved forward a little and rested a hand on Becky's arm. This was hard for her and he knew it.

"A lot of other people here will help too. We won't leave you guys stranded. Family always sticks together, blood or not."

Ryan's couldn't help but laugh at Dylan's reaction. It couldn't have been more perfect if she tried. The rest of the drive and stopping for the hay went fast or so it felt. Ryan enjoyed just listing to everyone talk and having Hunter let her hold his hand made her feel good.

Finally getting into town and getting out of the truck Ryan stretched. Looking in the direction that Hunter was talking a smile spread on her face. If there was sports cars than there was more than likely sports car parts too and Ryan couldn't help but get a little excited.

"Of course I do. You guys won't mind if we abandon you will you?"

"Don't we all have one secret or another? I just think his secret is harmless, at least in this situation."

Just thinking for a moment Ron looked at Pete before giving a small smile and his stomach growled. It was past lunch time now and maybe it was time for some food.

"Want to go grab a bite to eat before we do more? This has all made me hungry."

Looking up at Jason Katie leaned on her hand and smiled up at him. She liked this, that they were like one again. She really had missed it and she really had missed him. Now it felt almost like there was never time away.

"I think lunch at the part sounds good."

Putting some stuff away and standing she grabbed her keys and slipped her phone and wallet into her pocket. She didn't really want to waste any time before someone came and asked them to do something.

"Since Reese is not here...maybe we can take an extended lunch."
