Jamison looked up quickly and smiled, chewing the rest of his bite before responding. "Hey there." He cocked his head, trying to recall their last encounter. "Lucy, right?" He nodded slowly. "I'm doing okay. Just taking a break from work. Some people just go to the break room. Me... I gotta get some fresh air."
His hand went to his book quickly as the wind tried to turn the pages. Again the same uneasiness came over him and he glanced over his shoulder. Still his imagination? He tried to shake it off, and motioned to the bench on the other side of the table. "Take a load off before those poor books hit the ground again." He took another bite of his apple and grinned. "I know a place where backpacks are cheap."
Hunter smiled at Ryan and shook his head. "You look almost too tired to drink any coffee." He closed the gap between them, gaining a sly glint to his eye. "Maybe this will help." Leaning in, he pressed his lips to hers, giving her a long, slow kiss before pulling back. "Good morning."
His smile remained as he took her hand to pull her off the porch. "Come on, before all the coffee is gone. Maybe there will be enough to take some on the road with us." Swinging her hand as they walked, he glanced over at her. "Speaking of which... you ready to go home?"
