Observant

It was kind of nice to hear Jamison did the same thing she did with old things or things that had defects. It made her feel a little less silly too. She just had a soft spot for stuff like that.

Hearing Jamison answer not to helping her Lucy kicked herself inwardly. She hardly new him, and he hardly knew her, of course, he didn't want to help. What a silly thing to ask. If her mother was here she would be chiding her for sure on jumping too quickly onto people around her. What did her mom call it...grasping for friends.

About to say something Lucy was cut off as Jamison continued. Hearing he would help her but at no cost, she smiled. She had thought after their first meeting he seemed pretty nice and it seemed he was living up to that.

"Nah, I'm just pretty good at being observant."

Color came to her cheeks again as she smiled and nodded a little.

"Anyone reading about ancient civilization has to be and ok person."

Smiling again for a second and just watching Jamison she shook her head a little humor dancing in her eyes.

"I also noticed the badge handing from your belt and figured you were in some kind of law enforcement so you can't be that bad."

Hope had brought her lunch but going out with Scott sounded even better honestly. The fresh air would be good for them both and the fact he actually asked was even better.

"I'd love to join you for lunch. Maybe some place quiet since your still not feeling great."

The morning moved too quickly and it was soon time to go. It was harder than Ryan would have imagined it to be. Giving hugs, playing with the kids a little more than saying here goodbyes she was finally in the passenger seat.

"I'm as ready as I'll never be."

Leaning over in the seat a little bit Ryan reached over and took Hunter's hand locking fingers with him. Looking at him and smiling. She wasn't ready to go home, but at least she didn't have to face it alone anymore.
