So Much More

Feeling Ryan return just as much passion, Hunter didn't pull away. His heart raced as her hands wrapped around him, and he returned the embrace, holding her as close as possible, despite the awkward position on the horse.

Tilting his head, he continued the kiss, just letting it show all he'd been feeling under the surface the last few days. He'd tried so hard to ignore it, but he just couldn't any more. He cared about Ryan... and cared deeply.

Time seemed to stand still, and Hunter had no idea how long or short their affectionate exchange had been when he finally slowed to several shorter kisses before finally pulling away. Breathing heavily, he just rested his forehead against hers, leaving his eyes closed. His palm rested against her face as his thumb caressed her cheek. "Loud enough for you?" he whispered.

Finally he drew back a few inches and opened his eyes to study her face. A smile was on his lips. But it was one mixed with happiness and worry. Worry that after they got home, she'd forget. She'd move on. She wouldn't need him any more.

His palm remained on her face, and his other hand found hers, his fingers intertwining with hers. "You've sold yourself short for far too long," he mentioned quietly. She'd become so worried about what other people thought, when there was no need. "You're worth so much more than you think."
