Doesn't Mean

As Ryan leaned on Hunter's shoulder, he let his head rest against hers. Sighing, he nodded. "Yeah..." He could relate to the feeling in her tone. He didn't want to leave either but he had to. "You know... you don't have to leave with me. You could always stay longer."

He shifted and forced her to straighten so he could see her face again. "Just because I'm leaving doesn't mean you have to. They'd let you stay as long as you wanted and you could always fly home or take a bus or something." He searched her eyes, but wasn't sure of what he found. He wanted her to be ready to go home. He wanted her to be happy. To be able to face life again. But only she knew if she could or not.

Levi laughed and shook his head. "Don't be sorry. Besides you're really not late. I'm five minutes early." He pointed to the two coffees in the cup holders. "One's for you. Just in case."

He pulled away from the curb and turned at the corner to head towards the office. "Oh, and Dad was in early and he's off the rest of the day. And since we got that job done last night, today's not gonna be too bad. Thought maybe I could treat you to lunch if you'd let me."
