Cheating

Hunter snickered and threw down a card while blowing a raspberry. "Fine. There." He quirked an eyebrow. "By the way... If you were taught in a galaxy far far away... that makes you an alien." He grinned. "I knew there was something peculiar about you. I just couldn't put my finger on it."

Playing a while, Hunter was glad Ryan had stopped by. His evening felt... better now. He didn't know why, it just... did.

A while later as Ryan won another hand, Hunter groaned. He tossed his cards up in the air, sending them everywhere before he flopped onto his back, jostling the bed. "I give up." He yawned and ran a hand over his face. "You've got to be cheating that's the only answer."

Pete arched an eyebrow at Ron before he half nodded, half shook his head. "Depends on the day with him. In his defense, he's been through a lot. He's made a lot of bad choices but the Agency wrecked his marriage and hurt his wife which ultimately caused her to lose their baby. Then they killed his brother. So... he's got a lot of baggage." He frowned as he thought about it. "On the same hand, he's got a mean streak in him that can be pretty scary. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of his wrath. Which... leads me to believe he wouldn't be involved with his sniper. He's right. He'd rather torture someine than give them an easy way out."
