Take Orders

Axel nodded, unable to help a light laugh. "Yeah... I won't be working on cars much but I'll be here." Realizing he still had a hold on Ryan's shoulders, he retracted his hands, a little color coming to his face. "I guess Darrel's brother is having health issues, and he's gonna go be closer to him, but he doesn't want to sell the shop. He was gonna ask me about managing it and just hadn't gotten around to it yet."

A smile remained on his face, proving how happy he really was that he wouldn't have to leave the shop completely. "Think you and the guys can take orders from me?"

At first, Hal just sat and watched Sam. She really was serious. She was going to completely ignore the fact that he was in such a sorry state, wasn't she? Without much of an option, he reached in the bag and pulled out a chip to nibble on, showing little interest in what tv program she found to watch.

After a few minutes though, he realized just how antisocial he was being... and she was trying so hard. She deserved more from him than being ignored. Nobody else knew what he was going through, let alone had the gumption to actually come check on him and give him some company.

Heaving a sigh, he slid his foot onto the floor and stood up. Grabbing the bag of food, he sat down again, this time right next to Sam so they were touching, and put the bag half on her lap, half on his. "You're impossible," he muttered. Taking out a taco, he unwrapped it and took a bite, unwilling to admit how good it tasted... or maybe he was just that hungry. He put his feet up on the coffee table before nudging her knee with his leg. "How are things at the office?"
