Hal smiled a little, glad that Sam agreed to stay. She'd been over for supper once before, but after today's events, he hadn't been so sure she'd want to stay even longer. "Okay. Let me go call for the pizza and then I'll pick a movie," he agreed.
It didn't take long at all for the pizza to arrive, and he had some coke in the fridge which he got out as well. Eating casually with paper plates in the living room was nice, and Pirates of the Caribbean gave them just enough action with just enough humor to keep it light.
Before he knew it though, Hal's eyes started to become very heavy. Halfway through the movie, he kept trying to stay awake, but he was just too exhausted from the stressful events of the day. And without realizing it, he'd drifted off, his half can of coke tilting dangerously in his hand.
Zan couldn't contain his laughter. He wasn't trying to make fun of Destiny, it was just her effort and humor were delightful. He grabbed the frisbee and gave it back to her so she could try again. "Once you get it, you're gonna be awesome. I have a sixth sense about these things." He tossed her a wink before standing back so she could try again.
After she'd gotten the hang of it, Zan walked just a short distance away so they could throw it back and forth. The activity itself brought on more laughter as neither one of them were really that good at it, and every time Zan made a bad throw and she had to go after the disc, he apologized. He did try over his shoulder or around his back or under his leg a few times, failing miserably, but at least providing more entertainment.
Watching as another pass came his way, he realized the frisbee was going way off course. As he sprinted to catch it, the frisbee headed for the ground, and in a desperate attempt, he dove for it, sliding across the ground and barely catching it with his finger tips. Breathing heavily in the grass, he held up the disc in triumph, though his face was rather red from exertion and just a tad bit of embarrassment.
Grinning as he sat up, he spat out some grass that had somehow ended up in his mouth. "Got it!" he shouted. Staying where he was, he let it fly back towards Destiny.
