Smell of the Shop

Hunter took another sip of coffee and smiled as he got Ryan's response. Whether he saw her face or she sent him a message, it always brightened his day even more.
You got it.
See ya at noon :)

He was tempted to text more, but he refrained while she was on the clock. Instead, he finished his coffee then decided he better go grocery shopping before Dylan arrived tonight. Mick had told him that Dylan would be responsible for himself, but that didn't mean he wanted an empty refrigerator.

By noon, he'd stocked up his kitchen, cleaned up his apartment a bit, cleaned up himself, then headed to the auto shop. Pulling into the lot, he parked then turned to set his arms in the open window and bent to rest his chin on them, watching the open bay doors through his sunglasses.

Spying the car, Leo gestured at Ryan with a wrench. "Don't look now, but I see a race car out there with a suspicious looking driver."

Zan was in his own car again today. Though it still needed some tweaks, and the jerry-rigged used parts would only last so long, it was drivable, and that would at least help accomplish the current goal. After that, he'd have to figure out how to pay back Tony, then work on replacing all the parts held together with duct tape and wire.

Pulling up in front of Destiny's, he parked instead of just waiting for her, and got out to walk to the door. He had on his ripped jeans and there were spots of grease he'd missed on his arms and hands after trying to clean up since finishing up his car that morning. At least he'd brought a clean black tee to throw on, and he hoped Destiny hadn't lied when she'd said she liked the smell of the shop, since that's what she was going to get today. Last he knew, she still wanted to come with to the practice run with the others, but they were going to grab a bite for lunch first. Ringing the doorbell, he stepped back and waited.

After Sam's quick greeting a short while earlier, Hal had hoped Sam would at least be back before the end of the day and... he wasn't disappointed. Grinning, he ran his hands up her arms and turned his head to look up at her. "Mm... I dunno... how about reminding me what I've been missing all day?"
