Trouble?

Feeling Wendy's arm around him, Clint was motionless for a few moments until he rolled over onto his back and put his arm out so she could tuck herself into him and use his chest as a pillow like she liked to do. He kissed the top of her head and gave her a little squeeze. "Sorry I'm late," he apologized quietly. "I went for a walk and lost track of time."

He thought of Wes again, and sighed. He needed to tell Wendy of his plans, but it was late and they were both tired. He'd talk to her in the morning. Closing his eyes, he tried to fall asleep, but it wasn't easy.

Wrestling crocodiles? Garret wondered if Ryder perhaps wasn't all in his right mind. That was one of the craziest things he'd heard of. Thirteen's question caused his eyes to fall, even though he forced a thin smile. "No... no one special." He needed to come to terms with that. Nate might think Victoria still loved him but... after all that had happened, he had his doubts. "It's just me." Alone. Like always.

He looked back up at Thirteen again, wondering what she might have been like, had she not been raised in the Agency. How many others were there now, who would never get out like she had?

"Trouble? Us?" Hunter's grin widened into a full smile and he leaned back in to return to kissing Ryan. Finally though, he retreated. As much as he could stay here all day with her, it really wasn't possible.

Picking himself up, he helped Ryan to her feet too and grinned as he plucked some grass from her hair. "Yes, a surprise," he returned to his previous statement. "Actually... It's more of your brother's surprise. I'm just the messenger." He kissed her nose teasingly before slinging an arm around her shoulders to steer her back the way they'd come. "And by the way... couch and movie sound like a really good idea... You should come to my place this time." He'd let her decide. For now though, he would focused on getting her to the address Eli had given him...

It was a good long ride back to North Springs, and just as lovely as the ride up had been. By the time they arrived at their destination, it was getting close to evening but the sun was still up. Hunter pulled up near a large metal building, which was just on the outskirts of town, and parked.

Eli had his own bike there as well, and was leaning back against it, just waiting. He smiled when they arrived and gave a little wave. Hunter had texted him a few hours ago and said Ryan was having a good day... so the surprise would be now or never.
