As Hunter started forward Ryan braced herself. Watching the people as they passed by Ryan recognized in a some, and others were totally new. It had been a long time since Ryan had been behind the wheel in a race. She remembered the feeling, the thrill of the race.
Feeling Hunter take her hand Ryan couldn’t help just a little. Watching what he was doing as he put her hand on the gear stick. His touch was soft, gentle and not threating at all. Ryan gave a little shake but then relaxed just a little as her heart pounded in her chest. Moving her thumb to run over Hunter’s finger Ryan gave a nod looking at him. She could do this, Hunter was there…She wasn’t alone, she would let him guide her.
“Let’s do it. We got this…together.”
