Comfortable

"Mmm..." Chance returned Destiny's kiss, just to give her another one, making it last even longer than the first. "We could...always...stay here..." he mumbled.

A smile emerged and he left his arms draped over her shoulders. "But I suppose supper is a good idea. If we don't go out, I'm liable to forget all about eating..."

Jason just smiled and nodded. He'd go along with that idea. Katie was being a good sport, and whatever made her most comfortable, that's what they'd do.

A few minutes later he was limping out to meet her. "Okay...ready when you are. I should swing by home and drop Trooper off there first, then we can go grab some eats..."

"...so I don't know what's going on with the FBI, but I just have a feeling Reese isn't telling us everything." Jason sat across from Katie in the burger joint, venting a little about the tension at work lately. He ran a french fry through his ketchup, but was just playing with it instead of eating it. His burger was only half-eaten too, but he hadn't picked it up again.

He shrugged. "Maybe it's nothing, but he's been so tense, there's gotta be more to it."

Being sat on so suddenly, Kirk grunted and tightened his abs. "Ack!" He raised his arms but wasn't quick enough to block the pillow from his face. He couldn't help laughing though, as Adison stopped suffocating him. Looking up at her, he realized the light of the television was highlighting all the curves of her face, and her words somehow got lost before they reached his ears.

Grinning, he reached up to brush a stray strand of hair from her face and tuck it behind her ear. "You're beautiful when you're mad," he teased. Despite the humor though, his hand remained on her face, his thumb brushing her cheek. "You...do realize I was kidding, right? About the dishes?" A grin returned. "We had pizza, remember?" There were no dishes.

"So...." He dropped his hand and wrapped his arms around her tight, forcing her down to lay on his chest with the pillow. "We can finish watching the movie." It was awfully comfortable...would she mind?

“I’d rather die knowing I did something to help, than live and know I didn’t do anything.”

“Some of our best memories are not of us alone, but of those who we hold
close to us.”

“Sometimes it takes dancing near the flame to ignite your
own light.”

“I thought I told you not to say goodbye.”

“That smile of yours is too pretty to keep hiding it all the time.”

“…the day I made that stupid mistake, I lost my entire world.”

“The only thing you did wrong was to give up on yourself.”

“Rainbows are only formed by reflecting the light that’s already around them.”

“I knew if I waited
long enough, you
would come.”

“You don’t catch on very quick to the consequences factor, do you?”

“Life just wouldn’t be the same without a friend to flip
coins with.”

“What’s a dream when reality is so much better?”

“I won’t give up
on you.”

“In as much sorrow as you’ve had buried, you’ve helped open up a new world for another, and for that, you cannot feel insignificant.”

“It’s a lucky bloke that wakes up to the face of an angel.”

“When will I learn that you’re the medicine I need, not the cause of my ailment?”

“Don’t let that horizon get away
from you.”

“Oh, J…I thought I lost you, you big jerk.”

“What happened is a once blood-thirsty assassin found his place and reason in life.”

“I’ll always come back to mend the wounds. Because I care
that much.”

“Giving up on you is not even an option in my mind.”

“When you look into her eyes, do you see the world?”

“He’s a Henson… We always come back to what we love.”

“Now I have two candles to light
my way.”

“Leave all of what, Jason? This isn’t exactly Wall Street.”

“Your actions prove a love that I don’t
even deserve.”

“Oh great, so you know about my speeding ticket.”

“Don’t let her slip away, Hotshot, you will regret it for the rest of your life.”

“You’re the only light in my world.”

“I’d flip a coin… but I don’t want to take the risk of losing.”

“I value what we have more than anything else in the world. I lost it for over eighteen years and I don’t want to do
that again.”

“I don’t know what’s happening to me, Jamie… but I think I’m falling in love
with you.”

“I won’t rest until we find him.”

“One day I’m gonna figure out how you turn me upside down.”

“No… he was the one that convinced us all he was nerdy.”

“You could be that jerk and I would still like you.”

“Fly… stretch those God-given wings and don’t let anyone hold you back.”

“You’re my rainbow after the rain.”

“And never has a white rabbit run so fast.”

“I promise I am not going anywhere. I’d be a fool if I did.”

“If you want to be Maid Marian, it’s fine with me. As long as I get to be Robin Hood.”

“Well… that was… intense.”

“I know I don’t plan on giving up on you, so don’t give up on yourself just yet.”

“Congratulations, but your sister is going
to kill you.”

“I thought I told you do dance near the flame, not set your engine on fire.”

“Look me in the eye and tell me you don’t love me.”

“I definitely like complicated.”

“I love you, Katie Pent. I’ve denied that fact long enough.”

“A real rainbow is whatever a person looks at. It doesn’t have to be what we see in the sky.”

“I’ll go through anything as long as I am by your side.”

“I guess I just can’t live without you.”
